25 large global companies are thrown into the atmosphere more than half of the greenhouse gases
The Russian company “Gazprom” is one of the main sources of greenhouse gases in the world.
This is stated in the report of scientists of the British organization Carbon Disclosure Project, reports the chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
In particular, according to scientists, 25 of the world’s major companies over the past 28 years, was thrown into the atmosphere more than half of the greenhouse gases of the total of approximately 833 billion tons of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases.
Scientists say that the greatest contribution to pollution of the atmosphere by greenhouse gases has made coal companies of China – 14,3% of the total emissions of the global industry.
And among individual companies, the main source of emissions is called Saudi Saudi Aramco (4.5%) and the Russian “Gazprom” (3.9 percent).
In addition, the list of major sources of greenhouse gases included Russian LUKOIL, “Rosneft”, “Surgutneftegas” and the coal industry of Russia in General.
