The new product will be a step above the CX-5 crossover.
Mazda has revealed the first photo of a seven-seat crossover CX-8.
Most of the stylistic decisions a novelty borrowed from the CX-5.
New 175 millimeters shorter, 129 mm narrower and 17 mm below the model CX-9 last generation. However, the wheelbase of the crossover is the same – CX-8 to shorten it back.
The technical details of the Mazda did not disclose, but, most likely, the car will come with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel and supercharged petrol engine volume of 2.5 l is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
We will add that in Japan sales of the CX-8 will start before the end of this year, the novelty will be positioned as the flagship of the brand. The fact is that a large crossover Mazda CX-9 in the domestic market is not represented. Premiere date models are not disclosed.
Interestingly, at the initial stage of sales of the crossover will be available only in the domestic market. But journalists Car Advice say that the Australian representative office of Mazda has already expressed its interest in CX-8. Thus, perhaps the model will be released in foreign markets.
