Mass poisoning in Rivne school: new details

In the canteen of the school found numerous violations.

In the village Zarichne, Rivne region was poisoned by the products of 16 students of the first grade of the local educational complex.

All the children were taken to the hospital with acute intestinal infection. Two children of the parents took home to be treated on an outpatient basis, the rest remained in the hospital.

Specialists of the main Directorate of Rospotrebsoyuz in the Rivne region, examined the nutrition unit of the institution and established a number of violations of sanitary legislation and legislation on security, as well as selected indicators of the quality of the food, which probably led to the emergence of the outbreak.

“In particular, in the nutrition unit did not have enough refrigerating and freezing equipment and there are no thermometers for temperature control; no observed “commercial neighborhood” for storage of food, perishable; infringes the processing of eggs; washing tub in a butcher shop is not connected to the Sewerage network, as part of developing equipment requires replacement and updating of labeling; the institution is not enough shelving to store kitchen utensils and there are no containers for storage of vegetables”, – explained in the civil service.

To find the cause of poisoning, experts took swabs from various objects in the dining room, took samples of food, water, surveyed workers of the catering Department. Anti-epidemic measures and laboratory studies are continuing.

September 6 held an emergency meeting, which decided to temporarily suspend the operation of the catering Department, is there not remedy the deficiencies.
