LycaMobile goes to Ukraine

Negotiating the takeover of the Ukrainian LycaMobile network Trimob.

According to the publication, in the National Commission exercising state regulation in the sphere of communications and Informatization (NCCIR), a meeting was held with representatives of the company, as well as Ukrtelecom and Trimob.

“LycaMobile plans to sign with a mobile operator partner of the SCM agreement,” the source said.

Information of the interlocutor confirmed. The press service of the Ukrtelecom said that the company is considering the development of Trimob, in cooperation with LycaMobile.

“However, the details of the negotiations at this stage we do not disclose,” adds Director of corporate communications operator Mikhail Shuranov.

The head of the NCSRCI Oleksandr Zhivotovsky confirmed that the meeting actually took place.

“They need advice on the format of cooperation. More precisely, the technical and legal features. This and understand,” he said.

As my practice partner of telecommunications Juscutum Yuri Kotlyarov, to start MVNO service provider in Ukraine, you need to decide the legal “nuances”:

1) enter into a contract with LLC “Trimob”;

2) to receive from the Telecom regulator a copy of the license to Trimob telekomuslugi (3G connection) to LycaMobile. Besides this provider must be resident of Ukraine. That is, the British will need a local legal entity.

Comment from LycaMobile could not be obtained.
