The monument of Glory is not subject to dismantling.
In Lviv can disassemble part of the Monument of Glory, located on the street Stryiska.
According to the Deputy mayor in questions of development of Andrey Moskalenko, the working group on consideration of proposals and address the issue of exposure of the monument, decided to protect the most critical part of the monument and to develop with the specialists of the national University “Lviv Polytechnic” project immediate emergency work, which may include some demolition work.
He also explained that the 14 July meeting of the Executive Committee of the city Council plan to decide on the customer of works on dismantle of a monument.
Recall that in late April, representatives of the Ukrainian Galician Party in the Lviv city Council said that if within two weeks the city will not be dismantled symbols of the Communist regime, they will be served on mayor Andrew Garden to the court for inaction.
In may, the Garden has signed the order about creation of working group which should deal with the dismantling of the Monument of Glory.
In turn, the Institute of national remembrance, said that the Monument of Glory is not subject to dismantling.
