In an interview with Bild, the attorney General commented on the Minsk agreement.
General Amnesty for militants of Donbass is impossible, it may be granted only to individually.
This was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko in an interview with Bild.
“Amnesty may be granted in Ukraine, only individually. And it may be granted only in those cases that do fall under the Amnesty. Under Ukrainian law, murder, torture, rape, grievous bodily harm and kidnapping are not subject to the possibility of granting Amnesty,” – said Lutsenko.
He said that law enforcement agencies will check every single person for possible Amnesty. If the court determines that the person is not guilty of the above offences may be issued a pardon.
Commenting on the demand of France and Germany on the General Amnesty for all involved separatists, Lutsenko said, “let’s Say, 10 thousand armed Russian troops really will leave the Donbass and leave us alone. What to do with the remaining 40 thousand Ukrainian separatists?.. I, as the attorney General may act only within the framework of Ukrainian law.”
“We have evidence that the separatists have cut off people’s arms and legs, scalped them and were buried alive. You really think we can give them Amnesty?!”, concluded the attorney General.
