President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk in the settlement of the conflict in the Donbas will do what will be asked of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia as the parties most involved in this conflict.
In particular, Lukashenka stated during a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“I want to speak briefly about his position, once again she hasn’t changed, in relation to those conflicts that happen in Ukraine. You have to understand, I never set a goal to get ahead of ourselves… I did, do and will do only what I asked the two presidents. I was instructed Peter (President, Petro Poroshenko – Ed.) to hold a meeting in Minsk, this is not my initiative, I was told how to do it – I did. No complaints,” Lukashenka is quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Lukashenko, now this will continue: “All that will charge me two of the President, more than anyone involved in this conflict, we, Belarusians, will do. We do not claim any laurels”.
In turn, the Ukrainian President stressed that the Belarusian leader assured that Belarus will never be aggression against Ukraine.
