Russia has not fulfilled their obligations on oil supplies to Belarus. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on the issue of ensuring the efficient operation of the fuel and energy complex of the country.
“Russia agreed to supply Belarus 24 million tons of oil by two million every month. Report what is done to ensure that Russia fulfill the obligations”, — quotes Lukashenko RNS. According to him, in January, was delivered only a quarter of the promised amount. The President stressed that because of differences on energy issues with Russia and Belarus often have to change plans for the development of its economy.
Earlier Moscow and Minsk have failed to agree on the terms of transit of oil in 2020. In this regard, Russia from January 3, suspended the supply of Belarusian fuel. After that Lukashenko has expressed its willingness to buy oil outside of Russia, and the us Secretary of state Mike Pompeo said that the U.S. is ready to provide Belarus with oil.
