Belarus increases from 1 February the tariff for transit of Russian oil by 6.6%

Earlier Belarus planned in 2020 to increase the rate of pumping of Russian oil by 16.6%, the Russian side to such an increase are not satisfied

MINSK, January 31. /TASS/. Belarus since February 1 will increase the transit tariff for oil transportation through oil pipelines 6.6%. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Antimonopoly regulation and trade (MARCH) Belarus, published Friday on the Agency’s website.

“The size of the tariff increase determined solely in accordance with the requirements of the methodology as the annual average consumer price index, set by the parameters of the forecast socio-economic development of the Russian Federation for the year 2020 in the amount of 3.6%, increased by 3 percentage points,” – said the Agency.

In MARCH, noted that in the course of the negotiations between the Ministry of Antimonopoly regulation and trade and the Federal Antimonopoly service of Russia, despite earlier agreements about the necessity of compensation of losses JSC “Gomeltransneft Druzhba” offers MARCH it was not supported. “Thus, the parties do not agree on the size of the tariff increase, which was drawn up and signed a Protocol of disagreements,” explained the Belarusian Ministry. In this case, explained in MARCH, according to the mechanism of change of tariffs for services on transportation (transit) of oil through pipelines located on the territory of Belarus, approved by the Ministry of economy of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal tariff service of the Russian Federation of 27 January 2010, MARCH decided to increase tariffs by 6.6%.

Belarus planned in 2020 to increase the rate of pumping of Russian oil by 16.6% – it also includes lost revenue for 2019 because of an incident with contaminated Russian oil. The Russian side such an increase are not satisfied. Starting 1 September 2019 Belarus 3.7% increase in transit tariffs on Russian oil.
