The President of Belarus is not going to shift to Europe.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that his country is not refocused its own foreign policy in matters of cooperation with Russia in favor of Western countries.
According to him, Belarus is in the centre of Europe, therefore, Minsk is forced to conduct multi-vector policy, in order to “save the country, the security, sovereignty, independence and stability.”
Lukashenko said that Belarus “could not quarrel with either Russia or the West, nor with Ukraine.” However, he stressed that does not want to have in the country, “the situation in Ukraine”.
“That would be good, for example, if we had the situation like in Ukraine? No problems in Belarus for Russians today,” – concluded Lukashenko.
