Vintage images from the famous photographer.
Legendary German photographer Heinrich Heidersberger worked on a cruise ship, the mobile station Atlantic, in 1954, he made a huge number of photographs the Americans, sailing from new York to Havana.
Italian friend convinced Heidersberger to get a job as a photographer on a cruise in the Atlantic, MS, partly for the development of the relatively new art of color photography.
Pictures disappeared for many decades, but resurfaced in 2001. Heidersberger he was amazed at how well preserved the slides, and now they are shown at the exhibition under the name “MS Atlantic, new York – Cuba” in Kunstgut gallery, Hamburg.
