Ukrainian world champion in the second Featherweight Vasyl Lomachenko is reaping the fruits of a successful year.
Manager Lomachenko Egis Klimas reported that Basil received the award named after Muhammad Ali for the victory in the nomination “International Fighter of the Year” according to the “8 Ring”.
The Ukrainian started the year with an early victory over Jason Sosa. In August Lomachenko in Los Angeles forced the surrender of a strong Miguel Marriaga, and last Saturday in Los Angeles produced a loud victory over two-time Olympic champion Guillermo Rigondeaux.
