WBA and WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (13-1, 10 KO’s) was injured in a battle with Anthony crolla (34-7-3, 13 KO’s).
Lomachenko in the fourth round knockout of mandatory Challenger version WBА for the first time and defended several titles in the same weight class. After the fight, Vasyl said that a knockout blow was the price of a hand injury.
“I broke my arm. The last blow broke. It’s bad. Tomorrow we’ll go to the hospital, check on it and will make a decision. It’s bad because it’s a waste of time. 6-8 weeks can go look,” said the Ukrainian in an interview with the You-Tube channel “EsNews”.
In may last year, Lomachenko winning the fight against Jorge Linares got a shoulder injury. Ukrainians had to lie on the operating table, and his return took place in December in a battle with Jose Pedraza, a victory which allowed Lomachenko to unify the titles at lightweight.
Vasyl Lomachenko in the next battle is expected to meet with WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia. Also, the priority of the double Olympic champion is a fight with IBF champion Richard Comm.
