Lithuania has provided Ukraine in 2015-2016 150 tons of military equipment, particularly small arms and light weapons.
This was stated by the Minister of defense of Lithuania Raimundas Karoblis in an interview to “RBC-Ukraine”.
“Yes, Lithuania made a decision to supply weapons, which we don’t use Soviet type, but which is used in Ukraine. 150 tons of equipment and guns that we don’t need,” he confirmed.
The head of the Lithuanian defense Ministry added that the delivery of military equipment in 2015-2016 – it was a symbolic gesture that demonstrated the solidarity of the state with Ukraine.
It was a sovereign decision of the Lithuanian government. It was also a full understanding of our action by our NATO partners. On the other hand, I hope that such decisions will be taken and the other members of NATO, said Raimundas Karoblis.
