The ex-President of Ukraine (1991-1994) Leonid Kravchuk today suffered a complicated heart surgery.
On this edition of “GORDON” said a source close to the former head of state.
The interviewer noted that the operation was conducted at the heart Institute of the Ministry of health of Ukraine in Kiev, Kravchuk put four stents.
“Admission was preinfarction angina. Opened three coronary arteries. Now all is well, he’s already in the house,” added the source.
83-year-old Leonid Kravchuk in 1990-1991 was the Chairman of the Supreme Council (later Parliament) of Ukraine declared independence of the state. In 1991 he won the first democratic elections in the country after the collapse of the Soviet Union. From 1994 to 2006 was a member of Parliament.
