Lenovo introduced the thinnest mobile workstation

Lenovo introduced the new ThinkPad workstation P1 for creative people, engineers and other professionals needing a powerful portable equipment.

When the thickness of 18.4 mm is the thinnest ever produced by generic systems of this class. It is made in a signature recognizable style of ASUS and can offer a lot, including Intel Xeon 8-th generation.Despite the use of a 15.6-inch screen, the weight of the device is also relatively small – only 1.7 kg.

The high-resolution display also offers touch panel brightness 400 CD/m2, 100-percent color gamut Adobe RGB and support the conclusion with a depth of 10-bits per channel – due to this device may be popular among photographers, graphic designers, and videographers.

In addition to the Intel 8-generation Core i5/i7/i9 or Xeon processor, the device is equipped with a graphics accelerator NVIDIA Quadro P2000 and can be equipped with RAM up to 64 GB and SSD capacity of 4 TB.

Lenovo has equipped the ThinkPad P1 with multiple ports, including an SD card reader, two Thunderbolt 3, two USB-C 3.1, HDMI 2.0, Gigabit mini Ethernet port, a combo audio Jack and the device for reading smart cards. It is worth mentioning built-in IR camera for Windows Hello and a 720p webcam, and support for Wi-Fi 802.11 ac 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.

As in the case with some other laptops, ASUS P1 has successfully passed the inspection of quality MIL-SPEC 12 categories and 21 procedure. This model has an Energy Star 6.1 rating among other “green” certificates and a number of optional hardware and accessories. For example, Lenovo offers customers the docking station ThinkPad Thunderbolt Workstation backpack for 15.6-inch laptops and ThinkVision monitor P32u.All versions are equipped with P1 ThinkPad battery 80 WHr charged special 135 W adapter (replenishment capacity of the laptop battery through the USB-C is not supported). Delivery devices will begin in late August at a price of $1950 in the us market.
