Program by birth full-blooded Aryans.
The basis of the Nazi ideology of the Third Reich was the notion of the domination of the Aryan race to all others. To this idea believe the whole of Germany, were held not only active promotion, but also developing a special plan for the preservation and genetic improvement of the “Aryan” code. We are talking about the Lebensborn program, which meant farming superdata with “pure” blood.
“Lebensborn” in German means “source of life”. This program is personally supervised by Reichsfuhrer SS Heinrich Himmler. The main task of Lebensborn was the preparation of the racially pure mothers, the birth and upbringing of children of the Aryan nation.
Since 1935, was put stringent requirements on the parents of the future “purebred” Aryans: they must be healthy, have no criminal record and be of Aryan descent. Women who were selected to participate in the program, were placed in comfortable conditions and became pregnant only from members of the SS. The press called shelters, where they bear and raise babies, “Himmler factories children.”
A couple of years the decision was made to select women from among the inhabitants of Norway. According to the Nazis, blond and blue-eyed women could not be better suited for the “production” of purebred Aryans. If many Germans joined the Lebensborn organization for ideological reasons, for Norway it was almost the only opportunity to lead a more or less normal life in wartime. Many of them became mothers voluntarily. For the entire period of existence of the production-Aryans in Germany was born about 8,000 children, and in Norway – 12000.
In 1938, Himmler decided that the production superdata is too slow. Therefore began to take already pregnant women with the right looks. They offered to take the babies to the orphanage in exchange for a financial reward. Those who nursed for several Lebensborn children was awarded the mother’s cross.
After another year of “suitable” children were kidnapped from Poland, Ukraine, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia. On arrival in Germany the children were examined by the doctors and decide who comes under the concept of “typical Aryan” and who is not. Those who were declared unfit were sent to concentration camps to die.
Children with “pure blood” were sent to the “reeducation camps” where they were given new German names, and impose Nazi ideology, and forget their origin and parents. All those who resisted reeducation, mercilessly destroyed. These “centres for the Germanization of children,” boys and girls were irradiated with ultraviolet light so that their hair needed for true Aryan light shade. After training, children were given to SS families or sent to boarding schools.
Almost all documentation about the program Lebensborn was destroyed in the final stage of the Second world war, therefore, can not reliably say how many children were taken to Germany. Historians estimate the figure at 200 000.
After the war, the women who participated in the program of the birth of purebred Aryans, was quite bad enough. The inhabitants of Norway and Germany took revenge on the mothers who, during the war, received food, medical treatment. They were beaten, made outcasts, forced to do the hard work.
Born children and those who have completed the course “Germanization” were sent to orphanages or asylums, where they are mercilessly mocked. Norway has tried to disown the children of the Lebensborn and deported them to Germany, but to no avail. Sweden has adopted several hundred children from Norway. One of them was future singer of the group ABBA, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, whose father was a Sergeant in the SS.
