Re the conviction of Navalny and Ofitserova was issued on 8 February. Judge Alex vtyurin sentenced respectively to five and four years probation, and fined 500 thousand rubles.
Protection policy Alexei Navalny appealed the verdict after the retrial on the embezzlement of property of the enterprise “Kirovles”.
As told by the lawyer Bulk Vadim Kobzev, filed an appeal to the Kirov regional court.
The complaint filed jointly by the second defendant Navalny and Peter Ofitserov. The lawyers asked to cancel a sentence and to stop criminal prosecution, as it does not see the case file structure and a crime event.
The first sentence in the “Kirovles”, made in 2013, was canceled after the decision of the European court of human rights. The court considered that Navalny and Ofitserov were found guilty of actions that cannot be distinguished from normal business practices.
