The Range Rover Velar rival the Porsche Macan, BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
Company Land Rover has revealed the first image of the new SUV, which received the name Range Rover Velar. The official premiere of model will take place on March 1 and the first public display — at the Geneva motor show.
New product is designed to fill the niche between Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport in the lineup of the British automaker. No technical details about the SUV yet.
Land Rover announced that the Velar name was chosen in honour of the test prototypes of the Range Rover the first generation — they were called the same way.
That Land Rover is going to expand the family Range Rover in 2017, it became known in the summer of 2016. Then it was reported that the novelty will compete for buyers with BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
It is expected that the Range Rover Velar build on the platform of the Jaguar F-Pace. Gamma motor novelties will consist of a four-cylinder engine family Ingenium, as well as gasoline and diesel units V6.
