The decision of the Russian court was made with violations, declare in the Ministry of justice.
The Ministry of justice of Ukraine will appeal to the European court on human rights due to the correspondence arrest of the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on charges of “atrocities in Chechnya”. This was announced by justice Minister Pavel Petrenko on his page on Facebook on Tuesday, March 28.
Petrenko said that the decision of the Russian court was adopted with violations.
“The Ministry of justice will refer the explanation to all democratic States about the non-recognition of the decisions of the Russian ships. We also note the European court of human rights in this process, as we have done in hundreds of other illegal detentions and trials of Ukrainians in Russia”, – said Petrenko.
In addition, Petrenko will discuss the facts of violation of rights of Ukrainians in Russia with the Council of Europe Commissioner for human rights Niels Muznieks.
“We with concern observe the collapse of the remnants of democracy in Russia, which is manifested, in particular, in mass illegal arrests of its citizens and persecution of Ukrainians,” – said Petrenko.
