On Tuesday, may 30, Odessa oblast Prosecutor’s office agreed and sent a Ukrainian businessman close to the ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko a message on suspicion of committing a crime.
This reports the press service of the Prosecutor General.
It is noted that Kurchenko is suspected of committing a number of offences including forming a criminal organization, tax evasion in especially large size, abuse of official position, legalization of income obtained by criminal means and the like.
Odessa oblast Prosecutor’s office performs procedural management in criminal proceedings on the fact of creation of criminal organizations and evasion of taxes in especially large sizes at implementation of 800 thousand tons of petroleum products in the so-called “criminal scheme S. Kurchenko”,
– stated in the message of the GPU.
In addition, reports of suspicion made to a single defendant in a criminal organization involved in transactions with fuel.
According to the investigation, these persons are located outside of Ukraine, in connection with what they wanted.
The GPU added that all criminal proceedings in the status of suspects and defendants have 19 people. Among them, former heads of JSC “Odessa oil refinery”, the state inspectors of the Odessa customs, the captains, who carried the vessels to the seaports in order to disguise the fictitious export of oil products, the former head of the controlled company and the Manager of the company.
