The leader of terrorists “DNR” Alexander Zakharchenko called the wave nasmeshek in social networks, saying that his great-grandmother, once during the Second world war captured by the Nazis, was the concentration camp of Buchenwald, Auschwitz, and “Reykjavik”.
In the video posted online, Zakharchenko claims that in Reykjavik it grandma “was freed by the Americans.”
Commentators immediately noted that the capital of Iceland was captured by the Nazis, and therefore could not be released.
Some have suggested that the leader of the militants mixed up in Reykjavik with the ravensbrück concentration camp, but he was liberated by the red army.
