Kobzon will no longer be an expert of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation

The singer does not suit the principle of operation of the expert Council and the Advisory Board under the Ministry of culture.

People’s artist of the USSR, first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on culture Iosif Kobzon has sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of culture Vladimir Medinsky with a notice of his withdrawal from the composition of the expert Council and the Advisory Board under the Ministry of culture.

During the meeting of the Committee MP Joseph Kobzon has reminded that the Ministry of culture, there are two divisions: the Advisory Council and the Board. According to Kobzon, the expert Council examines the different sorts of rewards, gives the rank of the artists, “and we — the members of the expert Council — have no idea who these artists of Yakutia, Transbaikalia, from other places, and ruthlessly expunged them, and they are very important to the culture in your region.”

“Because I believe that the Committee on culture, which is constantly engaged with poignant moments of cultures should and must know what happens in the cinema, Church, theatre, music, and how can they know if the leaders in the Ministry do not know, — said Joseph Kobzon, RIA Novosti news Agency. — There is no one representative who would have a professional attitude to culture”.
The actor has said he does not want to accept the subjectivity of the decision of the Executive Board and especially the non-existent opportunistic decisions of the Ministry Board.
