The pupil of Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mykola Ivanchenko introduced an invention that will help clean the water from spilled oil. With this project he received the “gold” at the Olympics, GENIUS, held in Oswego (new York).

According to the guy, its hydrophobic adsorbent will collect only the oil and water repel. Due to the proposed student adsorbent oil collected in clumps that can be picked up from the reservoir by any mechanical means and sent to the refining production. The adsorbent can dial seven times more fluid than it weighs itself.
