Valentin Sipavin who is an experienced mountain guide, made the ascent on Tuesday, may 16, at 05:30 Nepalese time. It is reported that the man climbed to the top from the Northern Tibetan side of the mountain on the standard route.
In the members of his team also included Cyril Lula, Stanislav Sardamov and Victor Bobko. Valentin Sipavin became the 5th Kharkiv and 19th Ukrainian climber who conquered Everest, as well as the second best ice climbers of the world (he is also the winner of Championships and world Cup in ice climbing).
The Ukrainian had previously subdued many of the famous peaks of the world – Elbrus, Kazbek, p. Lenin, Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Alpamayo, McKinley and others. He also prepared for the climb and suggested the idea of climbing mount Everest the first Ukrainian, who rose to the highest in the world – Irina Galai.
