The construction of the Podil-Voskresensky bridge in Kyiv promise to start later this year.
This was stated by the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko.
In particular, Klitschko said that he had held talks with the German party, which attracted investors of German experts.
“German investors have allocated 200 thousand Euro for a clear dimension of the bridge, next month will be the infrastructure Minister to come to Kiev. I am sure that we from a dead point move this question and construction will begin this year,” said the mayor.
Klitschko added that the construction of the bridge lasted almost 40 years.
“Building the bridge for 40 years, documentation of the bridge is dated 1979. Until today it is not built, that is, three years later, forty years we’re celebrating. I said, “after three years we should be celebrating the opening of traffic on this bridge,” – said Klitschko.
Work on the construction Podolsko resurrection of the bridge began in 1993, however, due to lack of funding in some years was suspended. In December 2003, the construction of the bridge was resumed. According to the project, the bridge linking Podil with the left-Bank areas of the ceiling and a rainbow array. The total length of the bridge is about 7.5 km.
