Foreign Minister of Ukraine is convinced that by 2020 the country will reach NATO standards.
Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that Ukraine until 2020 will come to all NATO standards.
“Now we have set another pointer, but, nevertheless, we are on the path to membership in NATO, since NATO is the only security system that is based not simply on interests, and values. I’m sure we’re already starting to work as an element of the Eastern flank of NATO, this is evident in the sense of the exercises that we do together with its allies, it is gradually what we do in the context of achieving NATO standards”, – said Klimkin.
Also the Minister added that at the Warsaw summit of NATO, it was clearly agreed that by 2020 Ukraine will achieve all the standards in the field of security and defence dimension.
“Now all the allies understand that Ukraine can make a unique contribution to the security of that everybody understands what we did in 3 years what the army and the security sector has built and proven that we are able to fight for us, for freedom and for values. And I am sure that we will go to the end, will be successful, and NATO will go to the end,” added the Minister.
