In the capital of Ukraine almost 30% of ticks are infected by infectious borelioza, better known as Lyme disease.
On relevant information reported by the head of the State administration of Gospodarevskaya in Kiev Oleg Ruban.
Oleg said that for two months in Kiev, doctors have recorded about 50 cases of attacks by ticks to humans.
“Season of the pincer attack was launched on 2 March this year and has already recorded over 50 attacks on people. Also recorded attacks on animals. Almost 25-30% recorded detection of Lyme disease among ticks. Ticks primarily transmit Lyme borreliosis (Lyme disease),” – said Ruban.
The man was bitten by an infected tick, can be saved from disease, immediately contact the hospital for medical treatment. The period during which the patient can still be saved from infection 24-48 hours.
“The people who found the attack of mites, you must contact the relevant medical institutions with the purpose of removal and delivery to a specialized laboratory. Within 24-48 hours almost not register of Contracting tick-borne borreliosis”, – summed up the head of Gospodarevskaya.
