Kiev is decorated with light sculptures

In the Park in the Vladimir passage in Kiev began installation of the first in Ukraine festival of lights, which will bring from the different countries of the most amazing art objects. In the Park has already established few cute sculptures that will be lit at night with thousands of bright lights.

“Just in the Park will be established 37 of the light sculptures. Each of three kilometers illumination. It will be: horses, deer, elk, bears, dragonflies, butterflies, fountains, a starry way to the height of 20 meters, comets, tunnels. All this will start working from the beginning of December until the end of January”, – told the “Today” organizer of new year celebrations in Kiev Igor Dobrutsky.

Already decided with the selection of the main tree of the country, which will be installed on St. Sophia square. “The tree selected in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Her 110 years old, her height up to 30 meters. On December 3rd she will be in Kiev,” says Dobrutsky.

Earlier in Kiev on Bogdana Khmelnitskogo street has already started preparing for the New year. Over a carriageway hung Christmas garlands.

On Christmas and new year holidays Ukrainians waiting for a pair of triple weekend. The new year will last for three days, from 30 December (Saturday) to 1 January (Monday) inclusive. January 7 (Christmas) 2018 falls on a Sunday, so Monday, January 8, will be a non-working day. Thus, the output will again be three days in a row: 6, 7 and 8 January.

From 19 December 2017 and 14 January 2018 the capital will host new year and Christmas holidays in the framework of large-scale cultural project “Pork on Sof”. Residents and guests of the capital will have interesting entertainment at three locations – Sofia and Mikhailovskaya squares and the Vladimir passage.
