The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed with the leaders of the European Union the creation of a “Marshall plan” to support the country. He said this at a press conference following the summit Ukraine-EU in Kiev, July 13.
“We discussed the possibility of a new long-term plan to support Ukraine like the one that was proposed at the summit of the EPP, the so-called Marshall plan”, – he said.
According to Poroshenko, Kyiv will initiate the holding of a conference in beginning of 2018, where it can be adopted a financial aid package for Ukraine.
“In this context, we are instructed to study the possibility of organizing in Brussels a powerful investment conference in early 2018,” – said Poroshenko.
