Kiev has classified data about the actions of their ships in the Kerch Strait

Киев засекретил данные о действиях своих кораблей в Керченском проливе

Command of naval forces (naval forces) of Ukraine refused to divulge details of the order on the passage of their ships through the Kerch Strait on November 25 that culminated in the detention of vessels. This is reported by “Ukrainian news” that sent the corresponding request to the Ministry of defense of Ukraine.

In response, the defense Minister said that the information relates to state secrets. “In accordance with article 1.1.3 of the set of statements that constitute a state secret, approved by the security Service of Ukraine from August 12, 2005, No. 440, the requested information refers to information that contains state secret in the sphere of defense of the country”, — said in response.

The response of the Ukrainian defense Ministry signed by the commander of the country’s Navy Igor Voronchenko.

The incident in the Kerch Strait took place on 25 November. It led to a new aggravation of relations between Russia and Ukraine. According to the FSB of Russia, that day three ships of the Ukrainian Navy entered the territorial waters of Russia and did not respond to the warnings of the Russian border guards. In the end, the ships were detained, the sailors arrested. Moscow called Kiev’s actions a provocation.

Kiev and Moscow diverge. So, the Ukrainian authorities claim that notified the Russian side about the passage of ships in advance, but she was allegedly not answered. Ukraine believes that Russia has shown aggression and has called the detainees prisoners of war sailors.
