Kharkiv stadium “Start” is returned to the city

The Supreme economic court of Ukraine dismissed the cassation appeal of LLC “Golden house”.

On 24 February the Supreme economic court of Ukraine ruled a final decision about returning to the communal property of the capital of the land of the stadium “Start”.

According to head of Kyiv city state administration Volodymyr Bondarenko, previously – 13 Feb – entered into force the decision of the Kiev appeal economic court, which terminated the contract of purchase and sale of a sports complex to the stadium.

The panel of judges of the Supreme court supported the society and returned to the sports complex Kiev, and the appeal of OOO “Golden house” was left unsatisfied. Today the right of ownership of the land was for the city Council.

In 2010, the city Council decided to transfer the land under the stadium “Start” for the construction of housing and office complex, which caused the dissatisfaction of the public. In March 2015 the city Council of VII convocation has cancelled this decision and the lease. But in September, the District administrative court of Kyiv satisfied the request of OOO “Golden house” and recognized recent city Council decision illegal.

Was filed an appeal in the Kyiv administrative court of appeal, which granted the petition.

A year ago, the General Prosecutor’s office began pre-judicial investigation in criminal proceedings on the fact of inadequate execution of official duties by officials of the regional branch of state property Fund of Ukraine in Kiev under the conditions of the contract of purchase and sale of the stadium “Start”.
