The head of the city Council accused the Minister in the attempt.
The mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes said that the attempt on his life in April 2014 was organized by the acting interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
He told about it in interview to “Gordon”.
– Who ordered the hit on me? Avakov. I think someone really wanted to bring Avakov certificate of my death – said Kernes.
– I think Avakov knew that my chance of survival was one in a million. And when he offered to release, so I can fly to tel Aviv, he said, “of Course.” Why? Because they understood: if this is not done, he could be charged as concerned in the death of Kernes. And so he has given to fly – will not carp. Although I admit he behaved like a human being, – said Kernes.
According to him, this case is now “never under investigation”
