The Governor of Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov, explained the fall in the birth rate during the first half of the year a shortage of women. The region was included in the list of antiliberal Rosstat in this regard.
He said that in past years the region has been a significant increase in the birth rate, and now is falling. “It so happened. There are objective reasons: men can’t for women to go into labor, if they [women] do not have — a demographic failure has developed in this time period. We have invented exclusive measures, still, even with these measures, we do not pull,” — said Artamonov radio station “Moscow Says”.
He said that the residents of the region pay benefits from the beginning of the discovery of pregnancy, the allowance for breast-feeding, increased maternity leave with half to three years. “But still not very. Look sometimes as it is not very and then aligned”, — he added.
