The U.S. Senate Committee on intelligence has invited Wikileaks founder Julian Assange for questioning in the case of possible Russian intervention in the US presidential election in 2016.
This is stated in a letter to the U.S. Senate, published by the press service of Wikileaks on Twitter.
The intelligence Committee of the upper house of the U.S. Congress proposes Assange to testify behind closed doors in a convenient location and at a convenient time.
In the message Wikileaks stated that the organization’s lawyers review the request and, if consent is given, the conditions of interrogation must “meet high ethical standards.”
