The construction of the reserve is maintained, in spite of the ban and the need to coordinate it with UNESCO.
On the territory of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is the illegal construction and destruction of monuments of architecture, said the investigation of journalists of the programme Scheme.

Chief architect of the reserve, Jacob Dichter found violations during the construction, but, according to him, each case has its own reasons.

The journalists of the Schemes noted that the Ministry of culture of Ukraine did not respond to a request for an interview about the situation in the monastery. The superior of the monastery Archbishop Pavel had also refused interviews, citing his health.
