World champion in the heavyweight versions of IBF, WBA and IBO Anthony Joshua again wants to meet a retired Ukrainian Vladimir Klitschko.
In late April, Joshua in London at Wembley stadium in a spectacular battle knocked out Wladimir Klitschko and has established itself as the new leader of the heavyweight division.
It was assumed that the two Olympic Champions in November of this year in Las Vegas will hold a rematch, but two weeks ago, Klitschko suddenly announced his retirement.
“I had a feeling that Vladimir decides to retire. I know that many fans wanted to see him fight, but he decided that he had better leave the game and I respect the decision of a real man.
Klitschko is very smart and he has many other interests outside of Boxing, so he can safely make the decision of entering sports retirement and focus your energy on other things.
I know he won many titles during his career, and I would like to work with him, to Express to him personally the admiration and keep a good relationship. Now each goes his own way. I would be grateful if we just met like a gentlemen, and he shared with me a part of the experience that he gained over the years,” said Joshua in an interview with “Daily Mail”.
Despite the departure of Wladimir Klitschko, Anthony Joshua is a lack of options for the next fight. At the moment everything goes to the fact that the British champion in the autumn in Cardiff will meet with the Bulgarian Kubrat Bullet, which is the official Challenger for the IBF line.
