John Landis against the remake of “American werewolf in London”

In the summer we wrote that the remake “an American werewolf in London” is on the way, and it is directing Max Landis, the son of the Creator of the original. At the last Convention, San Diego Comic-Con 2017 he spoke with Kevin Smith, which takes there to interview the guest stars for the resource IMDb. And of course, Smith asked the guy about whether he discussed his ideas with his father. Max confirmed that they spoke on this subject, but nothing specifically answered. However, we have, of course, have the impression, that the father supports the son, and if that helps with advice. So Smith pomilla and said it was a “charming story”.

In fact, the story was not so charming.

John Landis gave an interview to the resource Collider:

COLLIDER: do You participate in the reboot of “American werewolf in London” is working on your son Max?
LANDIS: I get money.
COLLIDER: This must be a strange situation for the two of you.
LANDIS: to be Honest, I have not seen his script. I advised him not to do it. I think he puts himself in an awkward position. My son is talented, it’s true, and he wants to do it. So I say to that? No? I’m sure it won’t be as bad as “American werewolf in Paris”, which was complete shit. In short, I don’t know. From a great writer. He writes in 7 years. He wrote a series of scripts about two characters named Yelp and Dopi, about two stupid dogs when he was less than ten. They were so funny.

Such cases.

It turns out, John Landis against the very idea of a remake of his original film “an American werewolf in London” and it has nothing to do with him, despite the fact that everyone is engaged in his own son. What is it? Dislike remakes or senile grumbling? However, he believes in max as a screenwriter. Unless, of course, the history series about the two dogs was not banter.

Well, my desire to see this remake did not become less. Very much what I want to see a nice fresh horror about werewolves, you know.

What do you think?
