The film attracted critics who call it one of the best thrillers of 2017. Also called fit neo-Noir and neo-Western. And they say that John Bernal, new Punisher, given there amazing acting. This film is called “Sweet Virginia”, but in Russia he is known as “Death in Alaska” because… why not?

Synopsis:
Sam, a former champion bull rider, now leading a quiet life in a godforsaken town in Alaska where she keeps a modest roadside Motel. Elwood is a young man, drove to his hotel; between the two men, having, as it turns out, roots and friendships. Elwood, however, did not come just like that, and has a direct relationship to a shocking crime that recently shocked the town.
We have appreciated the grim and disturbing trailer of the painting, now in our paws landed a couple of posters. Gray-bearded and crumpled Bernthal ready to use weapons, and therefore, will not be bored. A rating of R, again, very encouraging. “Light” movie here should not wait.
Jamie M. Dagg, author of the recent Thriller “the River” staged “Death in Alaska” according to the scenario brothers China, who landed in the “Black list” of unrealized projects, 2012. In addition Bernthal here starred Christopher Abbott (“It comes by night”), Imogen Poots (“Filth”), rosemary DeWitt (“Poltergeist”, 2015), Jared Abrahamson (“Fear”), Darcy Laurie (“the Man in the high castle”), Joseph Lyle Taylor (“Dexter”) and others.
November 17, 2017 “Death in Alaska” will appear in a limited number of cinemas in North America and will be available on VOD platforms.
