In the magazine Vogue a few days ago was published an article devoted to the film of Darren Aronofsky’s “Mother” (Mother!) and, in particular, actress Jennifer Lawrence, who played it one of the main roles. Despite the youth – and Jennifer’s only 26 years old – on account of Lawrence a number of hits including fracnhise “the Hunger games” and “X-Men: First class” as well as Oscar, Golden globe and many others. For outstanding achievements. And perhaps now we will better understand, for what such qualities besides a pretty face, Jennifer fell all this happiness.
I hate to talk about acting because it is extremely difficult to talk about these things without sounding like you turned on the shower. I needed to go to the darkest place I’ve ever been to in my life… And I didn’t know if I’ll be able to get out of there in good condition.
These are the words the Jennifer, for which shooting in one of the scenes turned into health problems. Lawrence said that he had experienced hyperventilating and got a dislocated rib:
In the end, I needed oxygen. My nose was an oxygen tube, and Darren said, “Oh, it was filmed out of focus, we need to reshoot”. And I thought just: “Go screw yourself!”
Personally, I was somewhat surprised when I realized that Lawrence and Javier Bardem play in the film the couple as Xavier whom I respect a lot as an actor although is prekrasnoi form, but still looks human enough to be Jennifer’s father. Bardem said his partner is “strong like bull”:
She is very brave actress, she has no boundaries and she does not need to experience pain to show that she’s hurt… She’s ready to go as far as necessary.
Aronofsky himself also praises Jennifer:
She has immense natural talent. I always liken it to Michael Jordan.
“Mom,” Aronofsky not only the Director but also the screenwriter, and here is what he said about the film:
I think “Mother” is a truthful, realistic film about human relationships… But it is and allegory… Different people will see this movie differently, and I was always inspired by movies that you remember and discuss a few days after saw.
Must be why in the Aronofsky films so often are shot with really great actors. In “the Mother”, in addition to Bardem and Lawrence, was played by Michelle Pfeiffer, Kristen Wiig and ed Harris. A brief synopsis of the tape reads:
The dramatic story of a young couple whose relationship is tested for strength, when the heroes show up uninvited guests at the nines Deplete their quiet life.
The film will be released on 14 September 2017, and while it is possible to admire a couple of fresh posters.
