James Cameron is not averse to reboot the Terminator as a trilogy

We are still in January, I learned that the Director of the original novels “the Terminator” James Cameron is ready to return to the child, the benefit in 2019, Cameron will receive a portion of the rights to the franchise. In a chair that says director Cameron, according to rumors, is not averse to seat his protégé Tim Miller (“Deadpool”), and he will write the script and, of course, will be one of the producers.

In an interview with the Australian online News.com Cameron announced earlier information was confirmed (the only thing Miller hasn’t uttered a word), and also said that his plans for the franchise not just one movie.

…is moving the franchise to some particular course or there is that refresh? Can these movies be relevant in our time, when reality is so much of what used to during the first two films, was considered science fiction? We live in a world of drones-drones, huge amounts of information and rapidly developing technologies of artificial intelligence.
So I discussed with [producer] David Ellison, who now owns the global rights to the franchise, “Terminator”, while the law on the American market will come back to me a year and a half according to the copyright law of the United States, we discuss what we can do. At the moment we are inclined to make the “arch” of the three films and all of this “reinvented”.

According to Cameron, the project has not yet reached the point of development when it would be possible to make any official announcement. There remain unresolved issues and problems on which to work before you make any transactions. But, you see, THREE new film about the terminator under the patronage of James is interesting.

Meanwhile, Cameron continues energetically promoting the 3D release of “Terminator 2”:
