Jaguar may develop and bring to market new four-seater sports car XK. This statement was made by Ian Callum, Director of design, Jaguar.
In the line of Jaguar already had one car – a two-seater Jaguar F-Type. However, it is sold not very good, do not justify the expectations of the bosses of this company. However, Jaguar is considering the release of the new sports car 2+2 GT, called the Jaguar XK.
“We are now working on the design of the new four-seat sports car. It is not yet approved, but we were commissioned to create the design of this model,” said Ian Callum.
Jaguar has produced cars with the designation XK, but in 2014, their production is stopped. Callum believes that it was a mistake. Apparently, the leadership of the Jaguar is now also come to this conclusion.
If the British do decide again to release the model x, it will probably be built on the modernized platform of the F-Type. In the engine range of the new items will include the Ingenium units. In particular, it will be four-cylinder 2.0 l turbo engine with a capacity of 296 HP Version of R and the top variant will get SVR 5.0 l V8 engine, whose power is 572 HP With this unit new sports car can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
If bosses will give quadruple Jaguar sports car green light, when it will be available? Apparently, it will not happen before 2021, as the company is now developing more relevant for the market model.
