Jaguar Land Rover announced a possible translation of all the cars in the electric version
Starting in 2020, all new cars Jaguar Land Rover will be available in a hybrid or electric version. About this the company said on Thursday.
“We will submit the portfolio of electrified products across our model range, which will encompass a fully electric, plug-in hybrid and moderately hybrid cars [connect low-powered electric motors when driving at minimal loads — approx. 3DNews]”, — said General Director of Jaguar Land Rover Ralph Shpet (Ralf Speth).
Next year will start sales of crossover Jaguar I-Pace, the first electric car company. According to Shpet, has collected about 25 thousand orders to buy new items.
I Jaguar-Pace will be built in Austria, however, Jaguar Land Rover intend to set up production of electric cars in their native British market. However, this should solve a number of issues relating, for example, with the support of the government and the development of research activities.
Reuters notes that demand for electric cars continues to grow rapidly, and in July, the UK announced plans to ban sales of new petrol and diesel cars from 2040 to reduce harmful emissions. The same is going to make the French authorities and cities such as Madrid, Athens and Mexico city.
