Jaguar has announced the development of a new generation of F-Type

The new generation of the car will appear not earlier than 2020.

Jaguar is not going to abandon sports cars, despite the growth in popularity of crossovers and SUVs. On this edition of Automotive News said the Director of brand design Ian Callum.

“In the world there are people who think that the era of sports cars ended. In their opinion, off-road vehicles to learn to drive quickly and nothing inferior when cornering. However, in sports cars there are something emotional, which makes them very attractive in terms of design and performance,” — said a top Manager.

He added that the company will continue to work on such machines as the F-Type and not leave this segment in the foreseeable future. According to unofficial data, the new generation of the car will appear not earlier than 2020. However, as reported by Automotive News, the car will be offered with a hybrid powertrain, the details of which remain secret.
