The highest wind turbine will be built in Germany.
The German company Max Bögl Wind is going to build the world’s highest wind turbine. The innovative power plant will be located near Stuttgart.
Wind turbine with a rotor diameter of 178 is mounted on a tall tower. The total construction height 264,5 m. in addition to the turbines, the station will be three more, each with a height of 155 meters.
Each of the four turbine wind farm Max Bögl with a capacity of 3.4 MW. In General, the total capacity of the wind farm is 13.6 MW. It is planned that the plant will produce not less than 42 GWh per year.
Wind turbines have other features. For the first time, Max Bögl Wind will use a fundamentally new technology that enables turbines to operate at throttling or very strong winds where conventional turbines tend to stop working.
Considerable importance in the production of electricity will have a reservoir height of 40 meters. According to the developers, thanks to him, will produce 20% more electricity. The system reservoir is connected with plastic pipes with an artificial pond. Technology allows you to transition from wind to hydroelectric.
This system helps to maintain network stability, guaranteeing continuous, uninterrupted supply of electricity. The station plans to be operational in 2018.
