The unusual structure was developed in the Netherlands.
The Dutch company Fiction Factory introduced a compact home design which used the pressboard high-strength.
This house can be built in just 24 hours, and it will last about 100 years. Cost innovation 30 thousand euros. At the moment the houses are sold only in some parts of Europe, where they queues.
From the Dutch word Wikkelhouse translates as “house wrap”. Each house is assembled from five or six cardboard modules weighing 500 kg, which can be easily connected with environmentally friendly glue. The client can choose the size of the property. In addition, Wikkelhouse does not require deep foundations, which facilitates its installation. As stated by the developer, assemblage is carried out in just 24 hours one construction team.
Here is the wall of green buildings: cardboard processed water-repellent, for extra strength, reinforce the design tree.
The construction is stable and durable. Its total weight is only 3 tons, so the Foundation such a home is not needed.
Inside and outside the house is decorated with waterproof film, bonded to a wood surface. This allows you to protect the interior and exterior of the house from adverse weather conditions.
All of the material from which made Wikkelhouse, recyclable. On both sides of the house are located the glass facades to maximize natural lighting.
The interior of the house is carefully thought out. It can be transformed according to the preferences of the customer, and for an additional fee — add a bathroom and kitchen. For home connection, both Central and Autonomous communications.
At the moment, the company is taking pre-orders for the manufacture of cardboard housing: houses are sold in several European countries. Manufacturers produce only 20 houses a year “to ensure the highest quality.” Wikkelhouse set in both city and rural areas. For example, a similar house is on the territory of the University of Amsterdam, where it is used as classrooms.
