Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill 44 years has transformed the old concrete factory into a sophisticated home.
In 1973, the architect got almost destroyed the cement factory during the First world war, near Barcelona. Assessing the destruction and the advantages of such a building, Ricardo decided to turn this building into your project by La fábrica, which completely changed it to fit your own desires.
In the past, the plant ceased operations due to excessive contamination of the environment. The company tried several times to reorganize, but everything under control took inspired the architect.
Work on the building La fábrica still not 100% complete. Ricardo Bofill decided to dedicate the house all my life and never stop to improve it in the future.
The rooms in the house look unexpectedly stylish and beautiful industrial chimneys now covered with lush greenery, the whole territory of the plant “overgrown” gardens and the house now has a Studio, a conference hall, showrooms and residence of the owner.
