It became known that Saakashvili is waiting for when trying to penetrate into Ukraine

Ukrainian border guards told about their possible actions.

The state border service of Ukraine will withdraw the passport of the citizen of Ukraine from the ex-Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili, if he tries to enter the country.

On Friday the assistant to the Chairman of the state border service of Ukraine, a spokesman Oleg Slobodyan, commenting on the Agency “UKRINFORM” the situation with Saakashvili.

“If a citizen, whose passport is invalid [Kiev authorities believe the Ukrainian passport Saakashvili invalid] will appear on the border of Ukraine, by law we need this passport to withdraw and, accordingly, the citizen is not allowed on the territory of Ukraine”, – said Slobodyan.

A different procedure in this case, according to him, is not provided. However, he added that the state border service “does not track the movement of individual citizens, if they have no significant problems with the law and they do not threaten the national security of Ukraine”.

Slobodyan said that the question of deprivation of citizenship of a certain person or his extradition to the territory of another country are within the competence of the State migration service and Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine.

As reported, earlier on Friday, Deputy Prosecutor General of the country Yevgeny Yenin said that the former Governor of the Odessa region and ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili will be able to cross border of Ukraine only in the presence of an appropriate visa. Thus, according to him, the denial of permission to enter the country to participate in legal investigation about deprivation of Saakashvili’s Ukrainian citizenship is not a violation of his right to a fair trial.
