According to the American news Agency Bloomberg, Ukraine entered the list of the countries where alcohol and cigarettes people spend most.
The average Ukrainian gives almost 14% of their weekly earnings to the “glass of wine” and “smoke break”.
Agency employees annually conduct the study, analyze the standard of living of the population in different countries, compare the prices of tobacco, drugs and alcoholic beverages. Then compare the annual income and costs of these harmful products.
Experts noted that despite the fact that the price of excisable goods, the amount of consumed tobacco and alcohol is almost no effect. Ukrainians are not cutting back on bad habits.
In Honduras, the Congo and Laos people spend on cigarettes and alcohol about a thousand hryvnia per year. But in Japan, Australia and New Zealand – about 40 000 UAH.
