Crimeans difficult to get in other regions of Ukraine.
The population of the annexed Crimea after 2014 has effectively been cut off from the rest of Ukraine in the matter of journeys to other regions of Ukraine. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of residents of the Crimea, held in the spring of the German Center for East European and international studies.
According to the center, 12% of the Crimean people went to other regions of Ukraine over the last three years, and 93% said that travel to the mainland has become more difficult. Almost 90% of respondents would prefer to freely cross admingranitsu between AR Crimea and Kherson region in both directions. The vast majority of respondents – 78% – also not visited any regions of Russia since the annexation.
Visited Russia, only 22% of respondents, and other countries – only 3%.
Since the annexation of Crimea in 2014, more than 40% of the residents continue to maintain contact with their relatives in the mainland Ukraine on the same level as before the annexation.
More than 44% of respondents admitted that contact with their relatives in other regions of Ukraine a bit less than before the annexation, and 7.6 percent answered that they do it more often. Only 7,3% answered that they do not have relatives in Ukraine.
